Do not overlook this remix. There is this gorgeous indie artist from Nigeria and this single of hers is outstanding all by itself, but DJs have been having their way with it and I have to say every single remix sounds just as amazing. It might have something to do with the fact that the lyrics and vocals and even the rhythm and beat are incredible on the original track. Nneka’s debut album Victim of Truth has been compared to The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill by UK’s The Sunday Times. She really is the Bob Marley and Nina Simone of this generation. She has so much to say about so many things. She is educated and articulate and a damn good songstress.
It’s this remix, however, that I want to share. I’m not saying you shouldn’t go out and hear the original, because you really should, but this remix is equally as interesting and not to be overlooked!
